EkCopy
Terms of Service
Updated 31 October 2026
EkCopy connects people who need something printed with the print shops that print it. These Terms are the agreement between you and EkCopy ("we") for using our website, apps and WhatsApp service. Using EkCopy means you accept them.
Before you start
- The details you give us must be accurate and complete.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account, so keep your sign-in private and tell us straight away if someone else gets in.
Sending files to print
Use EkCopy for lawful printing through the shops on it. Your documents stay yours. You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence only to process and show them so the job can be printed, and we claim no ownership of them.
Running a print shop on EkCopy
- Accept only legitimate jobs, and make sure what you print follows the law.
- Keep every customer's documents confidential.
- Do not keep or copy a customer's document beyond what the job needs.
The desktop app on your computer
EkCopy is free for print shops. In return, a computer running the EkCopy desktop app helps the service work. By signing in, you agree that the app may:
- Convert documents to PDF in the background when the computer is free, for EkCopy customers, including customers of other shops. This uses the computer's spare processing power, memory, disk and internet. The app backs off when the computer is busy and deletes each file when it finishes.
- Start with Windows, stay in the system tray, update itself and download the document tools it needs.
- Send usage events, errors and device details to EkCopy, and a screenshot of the app window only when you report a problem.
Press Ctrl+Alt+Z in the app at any time to see or stop background conversion. You must not open, copy or keep any file that passes through the app for conversion, or try to get around these protections. Your computer, its electricity and your internet plan are your own responsibility.
What is never allowed
- Uploading illegal, defamatory or obscene content, or copyrighted content you have no right to use.
- Pretending to be another person or business.
- Sending spam, malware or harmful code.
- Hacking, disrupting or reverse engineering EkCopy.
- Getting around access controls or billing.
What belongs to us
EkCopy's software, interface, branding and technology are ours and are protected by intellectual property law.
Money
Some features may need a paid subscription. If you subscribe, you agree to pay the fees shown on our Pricing page. Fees are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless we say otherwise, and we will give notice before changing them.
Closing an account
You can close your account any time by writing to admin@ekcopy.com. We may suspend or close an account without notice for breaking these Terms, for fraud or abuse, or for unpaid subscription fees. What happens to your data afterwards is in our Privacy Policy.
If something goes wrong
EkCopy is provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages from using EkCopy, including lost data, revenue or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the three (3) months before it.
Which law applies
The laws of India govern these Terms. Any dispute goes exclusively to the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
Changes and questions
We may change these Terms at any time and will post the new version on our website with a new date. Continuing to use EkCopy after that means you accept it. Questions: admin@ekcopy.com.
